This is the Story of Dobby…..
During the Canoa, Ecuador project in October / November 2015 we came across the wonderful Dobby. During the 4 weeks of the free clinic was open we managed to spay and neuter 167 cats and dogs, treated 311 others animals with various illnesses/ diseases / viruses or gave vaccinations / de-parasite treatment, saved 2 sea turtles, and rescued the worst looking dog in the area, built her a new temporary home and now found her a new home, the lovely Dobby. Here is her story….
3 days before the project ended we came across a dog that had so much love yet helplessness in her eyes. She was in such a bad way with Mange that she may have only lived for a week or. As she was street dog, and therefore had no owner, we instantly took her into the Green Paw Project clinic for treatment. With her floppy ears and lovely demeanour we named her… Dobby.
We fed her, bathed her, treated her, and gave her love, lots of love…
As she was a street dog, she had no home, so the kind hostel of Coco Loco let us clear an unused area, and we up-cycled some bamboo and made her a lovely temporary home…
After days and days of graft, we had build her wonderful home where she could take her steps towards recovery…
We then released her in her new home…
Dobby quickly stared to recover, her eyes brightened, she put on weight, and some of her fur started to grow back 🙂 …
She quickly found her stride, got back her youthful bounce, and had lots of energy to on walks with her new friends from Coco Loco…
After 6 months of recovery and love at Coco Loco, Dobby was ready to go to her permanent home in a wonderful farm with her new forever family…. She is starting to look wonderful…
Dobby now has new home in Ecuador and is living a healthy life. Success!!!
