What is the Grand Week in Wales?
An event for the week leading up to St David’s Day which engages, inspires and uplifts our communities. Nanny Biscuit are the leading organisers who will be holding multiple, socially distanced, safe activities throughout the week, from the 22nd February. The series of events engage a diverse audience throughout the communities of Wales.
Did you know that the circumference of Wales is 1000 miles?
With this in mind Nanny Biscuit are encouraging organisations and members of the public, to join in our activities during the week of St David’s Day. Setting a number of challenges based around the number 1000 that the public can safely participate in.
Nanny Biscuit hopes to use this as an event to raise money to help Nanny Biscuit help combat food poverty, isolation and loneliness. Whilst Green Paw Paw will use the platform to help pick up any litter or plastic from the natural world, and also help balance carbon emissions through planting trees.
Nanny Biscuit wants people of all ages and abilities to be able to partake in activities at home or on their daily exercise routine, including schools, care homes, and people self-isolating at home.

What The Grand Week in Wales aims to achieve
On an independent level
Empowering people to help themselves gives people focus, a feeling of positivity and doing something good whilst also helping their wellbeing and the community.
On a community level
Engaging people to support and take ownership of the things that affect their community and have a sense of support themselves. Raising old fashioned community spirit in the process.
On a national level
Wouldn’t it be amazing to connect communities across Wales to see if we could come together? Creating resources that we could share.
